information about respite,
access to a free worker bank of local persons interested in providing respite supports (Respite Contractors)

Families may contact their local service agency for more information
such as the Community Living in their area, Cochrane Temiskaming Resource Centre, Access Better Living Timmins

Persons interested in advertising their services as Respite contractors, at no cost,
must contact the Respite Network Coordinator (Joanne Proulx)

Note: to be listed on the worker bank, Respite contractors must provide a vulnerable sector’s screening check and three work related references

This is part of a provincial service. Recently, a Kirkland Lake family was able to access respite supports for their son when they needed to stay in Toronto for medical reasons.
